PhD in Psychology from the University of Deusto.

He is currently senior lecturer doctor at the University of Deusto, where he teaches in the Bilbao campus. His teaching focuses on the Degree of Psychology, where he teaches Social Psychology and Psychological Assessment and Intervention with Families as well as the Master of Mental Health and Psychological Therapies, Psychology and Social Intervention, where he coordinates the modules Systemic Therapies, Conflict Resolution and Family Intervention. His publications mainly deal Assessment and Family Intervention.

In recent years he has been working around the Interparental Conflict, belongs to the research team: Intervention: Quality of Life and Social Inclusion (R2012), where he leads the line Assessment and Intervention Family and Children (FamilyPsych Research).

Other areas of interest are: Intervention in divorce, symptoms in relation to family dysfunction, addiction, sibling relationships, patterns of parenting, family reunification, family reconciliation, assessment tools...

The main goal of the GRPF is to study and do research about the internal and external aspects of the family group and to promote policies that will allow professionals to help families and their members to improve their personal and social development.

Dr. Carles Pérez-Testor is the main researcher of the group.

He is currently a Professor of the Facultat de Psicologia, Ciències de l'Educació i de l'Esport, Blanquerna (FPCEE Blanquerna) and the Director of the Institut de Salud Mental Fundació Vidal i Barraquer (FVB).
